GREAT Olde Tyme New Orleans Nectar Syrup Recipes!

Since the early 20th century New Orleans natives enjoyed their unique style of Nectar Syrup. It was used to make sodas, ice cream sundaes, refreshing snowballs, dessert toppings, and more!
“Olde Tyme New Orleans Nectar Syrup”
1.Original Nectar Soda:
1 part “Old Tyme New Orleans Nectar Syrup”
5 parts seltzer water
Add crushed ice and stir
2. Original Nectar Ice Cream Soda:
Soda water (Seltzer), Vanilla ice cream, Whipped Cream , Cherry
Pour about an inch of Nectar syrup and 1 inch of Seltzer into a tall Sundae glass. Gently add a small scoop of vanilla ice cream add soda water to about 2 inches from top of the rim. Carefully stir until ice cream and Nectar soda blend and watch it fizz! Top with whipped cream and a cherry. Enjoy
3. Nectar Party Punch: (a delicious party refresher)
In a punch bowl add one 11oz bottle Nectar Syrup to a chilled 2 liter bottle of Seltzer or Soda water
Float one block of frozen rainbow sherbet and let it float for a few minutes and then serve.
4. “Nectarcino Café”: (A new twist to cappuccino!)
2 parts espresso
1 part Nectar Syrup
2 parts frothed 2% milk
Top the above with whipped cream, a teaspoon of Nectar Syrup, and a cherry!
5. “Spiked Nectar Cream Soda”:
Pour over ice: 1 ½ oz of the Nectar Syrup and 1 ½ oz Amaretto into an Irish Coffee glass
Then add 1 ½ oz milk and 1 ½ oz seltzer or soda water
Top with whipped cream and a cherry!
6. "Nectar Driver" (ScrewDriver ++)
Make your standard screwdriver plus 1 jigger Olde Tyme New Orleans Nectar Syrup.
Talk about "GOOD"!
